Interview with Poet Dale Lombardi

Dear Friends,

Several days ago, I sat down with Dale Lombardi, a woman who began writing poetry in her mid-50s, and has just published her first collection, Cloud and Bones.  The book is a beautiful collection of works, both profound and playful.  Dale writes about aging, loss, and the wonderment of years, every bit as skillfully as she tackles the amusements of pom poms and ink.

Here is our chat, in two parts — both worth viewing!  You should be able to access it just by clicking on the links.

Dale is such a miraculous poet! Even more so when you realize she came later in life, and almost unintentionally, to channeling into the “scraps” she found herself listening to, collecting, and having them “bubble” in her unconscious. It’s almost as if she reaches out and plucks them out of the air, and they are uniquely hers. What a gift!

I can only say, Amen, and thanks to Dale for sharing it with the rest of us!
