My work for many years has been to pay attention to the world and to imagine possibilities. I write. I gather people around the questions that help us live with greater presence and connection to the holy, to one another, and to the living world.
On the journey from journalism to books to poetry, my questions have migrated inward. I am endlessly interested in the connection between our creative vision and contemplative insights and the lives that give voice to them.
These days, I am listening to what can only be heard far from the world’s Babel. Conversations with ancestors and winter fields, back streets and the shops no one bothers to visit anymore. Children in libraries, hungry for books.
